Man Docked For Forgery

For allegedly stealing N939,740 and forging the Lagos State Government Treasury and Revenue receipts, a 42-year-old man was on Monday arraigned at an Ebute-Metta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos.

Ayoola Tella, who claimed to be an employee of the State Development Association, is facing a 15-count charge of impersonation, fraud, forgery, stealing and unlawful possession before Magistrate T. Abolarinwa.

The prosecutor, Insp. Jack Asuquo, told the court that the defendant forged the Lagos State Government revenue receipt No. 5509104/ZXASDRP dated Dec. 17, 2008 in favour of one Moses Bamidele.
