Alayobo Dismisses Abdication Tale

The traditional ruler of Ayoboland in Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Oba Idowu Ojo-Ijo, has debunked the rumour that he has been removed from office or abdicated his throne.

The royal father made the declaration yesterday, before a large gathering of his subjects that thronged the palace when the rumour broke out that he had either been removed as Alayobo or abdicated his throne.

Visibly touched by the show of love shown for him, Oba Idowu was full of gratitude and promised to always be a worthy father to all.

“Please, my people of Ayoboland. Don’t listen to those mischief makers who are not only trying to fan the embers of disunity among us. I was never removed either by the state government or by any court judgment. I will never abdicate the throne of my fathers, at least, you all came to see me here and we will remain here to move our enviable community to the next level,” the highly elated monarch remarked, while imploring the entire members of the community to go about their lawful businesses peacefully and always exhibit the exemplary character even in the face of provocation.
