A commuter bus driver, Paseda Muyiwa, 27, of 34, Ayepo Avenue, Shomolu, Lagos State, Nigeria, has been arraigned before the Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for manslaughter.
He was alleged to have on 3 August, 2010 at Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos drove without regard his Mercedes Benz Marcopolo bus with registration number XY 980 AAA and killed an unidentified pedestrian.
The offence is punishable under Section 28 (d), Cap. 174, Vol. 6, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.
The presiding magistrate, Mr. T.A. Elias granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till 8 September, 2010.
