The crisis rocking the Yaba/Mainland chapter of the Action Congress has been resolved.
The crisis was resolved at a peace meeting initiated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and led by Owolabi Batola, a.k.a. Alao Seniyan.
At the reconciliatory meeting held at Yaba, all warring factions were urged to sheathe their swords.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS on the development, Alhaji Yinus Ibikunle Shabi, leader of one of the parallel groups, commended Asiwaju Tinubu for initiating the peace move and giving them Alao Seniyan as AC leader in Yaba/Mainland local government.
“This crisis has been on since the period of AD. We thank Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving us somebody like Alao Seniyan as leader. If not for him, this reconciliation move would not have seen the light of the day. I appreciate his efforts and manner of approach in solving the matter.
“Now that the issue has been resolved, we are going to the Action Congress of Nigeria, CAN, with high hopes and we expect that there will be a level playing ground in choosing executive members for us in the area,†he said.
Shabi commended Alhaji Ganiyu Badmus, Hon. Ademoye, Chief Thomas and others for their maturity and understanding during and after the reconciliation.
