2 Nabbed Over Attack On Eatry

The police at Ilupeju Police Station, Lagos, have arested two robbery suspects who attacked and robbed Sweet Sensation eatery along Town Planning Way, Ilupeju.

The suspects, whose names were given as Saheed Azeez Fijabi and James Obi, were arrested at the eatery following a distress call made to the police and items recovered from them include one Barretta pistol, a Brownie pistol, 16 rounds of live ammunition and two motorcycles marked LAGOS QL 742 JJJ and LAGOS QL 268 JJJ, suspected to have been stolen.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and the police are on the trail of other fleeing members of the gang.

In a related development, the police at Ojo Police Station have arrested one suspected armed robber at Open Field, Alaba-Rago in Ojo area of Lagos State.

Crime Watch gathered that anti-robbery police officers from Ojo Police Station swooped on the suspects following a tip off from the public.

The suspect, Uzochukwu Nwachukwu, has made some useful statements to the police and he is said to be assisting them in their further investigations.

Items recovered from him include one single barrel shotgun and two live cartridges.

The suspect, Crime Watch learnt, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
