Nigeria Premier League, NPL, led by the newly elected chairman, Davidson Owumi has applauded the standard of play at the Super 4 currently going on at the Gateway International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Although an average crowd watched yesterday’s matches, the NPL gave kudos to the teams for displaying good football artistry despite the long season they had before completing the 2009/2010 football year last month.
Owumi told P.M. Sports early today that “we had a great game between Enyimba of Aba and Sunshine Stars of Akure in the first match of the Super 4 yesterday. The NPL was impressed with the performance of the teams. Kano Pillars and Kwara United match also lived up to expectation though there was no goal in the tension soaked encounter.â€
