Lagos State Government in its commitment at confronting the dearth of office space and classrooms in the education sector has commissioned a one-storey 8-room office complex at the Headquarters of Education District I, Agege.

At the event, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of staff and pursuit of continued development and growth of the state education sector through the provision of staffs with enabling and conducive environment from which to operate.

Governor Fashola who was represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Dr. Elijah Olu Adewale, disclosed that the administrative block represent models of rehabilitation and reconstruction of classrooms office blocks and other beneficial projects across the state in fulfillment of his promise to the citizenry since assumption of office.

The Governor added that the event provided a strategic opportunity to communicate with the people about the tremendous progress in transforming the state’s public schools to destinations that student and teachers who are the prime stake holders will want to attend and work in.

Governor Fashola concluded by advising parents to invest their time in their children’s education so as to develop them toward a brighter future.
