NIMASA DG Assures Of Quality Service

The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Temisan Omatseye, has assured stakeholders of quality service.

The NIMASA boss stated this at an occasion to mark his 365 days in office held at the Multipurpose Hall, Nigerian Maritime Resource Centre, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos.

Omatseye described the occasion as a day of honour for the entire management of NIMASA.

In attendance were Ibrahim Zailani, Executive Director, Maritime Harbour and Cabotage Services; Mr. Ishaku Shekarau, Executive Director, Maritime Safety & Shipping Development, Mr. Adeniran Aderogba, Executive Director, Administration and Finance, and directors of other departments in the agency.

Omatseye assured stakeholders that his team had designed a five-point agenda in pursuant of their 10-year strategic development programme.

According to him, the management initiated the process to implement public sector cargo support scheme in line with section 36 of the NIMASA Act and address the current acute shortage of seafarers.
