Politicians have been urged to stop the psychological and mental abuse of Nigerians by throwing money around while failing to empower the people through capacity building and skill acquisition.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS recently, the Chairman of Lovers of Raji Fashola, LORAF, Bishop Abiodun Olugbenro said the late sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo invested heavily in the Yoruba race and the result is still being seen across Nigeria, unlike today’s politicians who have failed to invest in the people.

“Rather, these politicians see their people as a source of wealth. They subject the people to various manipulations, using their people to bargain for political posts and positions to satisfy their insatiable quest for unhealthy acquisition of wealth at the expense of the majority of people they are supposed to serve and protect,” he said.

He urged Fashola to go ahead and seek re-election to continue the good work.
