All is set for the flag off of IBB 2011 campaign by the Youths Vanguard Initiatives.
The political awareness campaign, which has the stamp of the former military president, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, will take place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, tomorrow.
National chairman of the group, Alhaji Musa Bawa, said that the event will surely hold in spite of the mounting threats from rival groups.
“We hope to use the auspicious occasion to educate those who do not know IBB well. As far as we are concerned, he is the candidate to beat. He has been there and the record of his achievements are also there for all to see,†he stated.
His stance received the tacit support of the youth leader of the group, Shamsudeen Adekunle, who recalled that Nigerian economy and naira were not in the shambles during the reign of Babangida.
“We strongly believe he has the magic wand to return Nigeria to its glorious days, hence we are appealing to everybody to vote massively for him,†he posited.
