Afolabi Onanaike, is the organiser of the Under-15 Akanni Olohunwa Cup. He spoke about his experience and  preparations for the final ceremony of the tourney, which holds on 31July at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

How would you rate the maiden edition of the Under-15 Akanni Olohunwa Cup?
The competition has lived up to expectations in terms of organisation, officiating and the standard of play. We are yet to play the final because we want the ongoing FIFA World Cup to end. I must confess, the players played better in this competition.

We were told that fans caused trouble during some of the matches played before the final, how will you react to this?
Nobody caused trouble because we have good  security in place. It is unfair for anybody to say Olohunwa Cup has been characterised by violence.

How are you preparing for the final ceremony?
We have started preparing for the final. We have sent letters of invitations to some sports administrators, politicians and national coaches to grace the event. We have printed thousands of T-shirts for the fans. There will be a lot of gifts for the players and coaches who distinguish themselves in the competition.
