It was pure fun at the Terra kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos on the night of 10 June, 2010 when BluFunk star, Keziah Jones rocks the city with his fierce guitar skills.
Put together by Quirk and Glee, the concert had an array of talented musicians that took the stage to perform with Keziah. They include Mike Aremu, Joey Ducane, Wura Samba, Duro Ikujenyo, IBK and Bez, an up and coming singer from Cobhams Asuquo’s studio.
Ladies at the jam session went ballistic when Keziah whipped open his shirt to display some stellar abs. He’s famous for playing most of his live shows with a bare torso.
Britain-based Keziah Jones, born Olufemi Sanyaolu is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He describes his musical style as “Blufunkâ€, which is a fusion between raw blues elements and hard, edgy funk rhythms. Also his Nigerian roots in Yoruba music and soul music can be considered a major influence on his sound.
He’s known for his distinctive style of guitar playing, including his percussive right-hand technique which is similar to a bass guitarist’s slapping technique.
