A member of the Deeper Life Church, Evangelist Allison Anaebere, has joined several Nigerians calling on President Goodluck Jonathan not to seek elective position in the 2011 elections.

He advised the President to focus on solving the various problems facing the country.

Evangelist Anaebere further asked the President to concentrate on electoral reforms and refuse to listen to sycophants in his government urging him to contest for the presidency.

“I pray we discard any move that can tear Nigeria apart. I pray you do not run in 2011. It will ruin this country, but if you decide to run, one can then predict that the elections won’t be free and fair because you and your loyalists would do everything to win and we will be back to the scenario witnessed during the 2007 elections in this country,” he stated.

The evangelist also supported the zoning formula of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, saying it has helped the country since the introduction of democracy and should be continued.

“Don’t break the covenant,” he warned.
