Greece coach Otto Rehhagel ruled out a sudden switch to a more attacking style for the must-win World Cup game against Nigeria in Bloemfontein but Nigeria’s Swedish handler Lars Lagerback has had the Super Eagles sharpening their talons.

“What we have given priority to in training in the days after the Argentina game is to try to be a little bit sharper in the attacking part of the game,” Lagerback said.

Nigeria’s 1-0 opening loss to Group B favourites Argentina and Greece’s 2-0 defeat to South Korea, may see one of them eliminated by a second defeat today. Nigeria have not won a World Cup tie since 1998, and have been practicing defending set pieces, Greece’s speciality, ahead of the game.
