The head of the Gani Fawehinmi law firm, Mohammed Fawehinmi, has slammed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and security agencies in the country over security lapses.

His criticism is coming on the heels of the armed robbery attack on Senator Gbemisola Saraki at her residence in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

In a statement made available to P.M.NEWS, Fawehinmi said it is disheartening that elected persons do not feel safe in their country.

“The alleged armed robbery attack on the residence of Senator Gbemisola Saraki is condemnable. It is a disgrace to PDP as a party and a slap on the face of our security agents.

”This politics of do-or-die affair must stop because this clearly shows that nobody is safe, even those elected by the people to represent them.

“The attack on Senator Saraki has brought to the fore the level of insecurity in our country that is threatening our nation,” Mohammed said.

He tasked the nation’s security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities as the country marks its 50th anniversary on October 1.
