Kada Stars Hit 100 Point Mark At DSTV Men’s League

Kada Stars Basketball Club of Kaduna, Nigeria, last weekend became the first team in the ongoing NBBF/DSTV Men’s League to reach the 100-point mark with a 101-65 points whitewashing of Tapgun Rockets Basketball Club of Jos at the Sports Hall of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

While Lagos Islanders Basketball Club of Lagos and Royal Hoopers Basketball Club of Port Harcourt won double in the Atlantic Conference, Union Bank Basketball Club of Lagos and Plateau Peaks Basketball Club of Jos are losers in the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences.

Islanders defeated Union Bank by 89-76 points on Friday. They went ahead to hammer Nigeria Customs Basketball Club by 56-45 points on Sunday. Royal Hoopers Basketball Club of Port Harcourt, on the other hand, won their two road games against Ebun Comets Basketball Club of Lagos by 63-52 points on Saturday and defeated Union Bank by 78-59 points to move to the top of the table in the Atlantic Conference with 12-points from seven games and Islanders are second with 11 points from seven games.

In the Savannah Conference, the fortunes of Plateau Peaks Basketball Club of Jos continued on its downward trend as they lost their two road games to Kano Pillars Basketball Club of Kano by 75-51 points on Saturday and to AHIP Giants Basketball Club also of Kano 68-64 points on Sunday.

Meanwhile, The fixture of the final phase of the Zenith Bank Women Premier League has been released ahead of the first jump ball on Thursday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos. Nigeria Customs Basketball Club will take on their Immigration counterparts in the first match of the day, while AHIP Angels Basketball Club of Kano confront First Deepwater Basketball Club of Lagos in the second game.

Sunshine Angels Basketball Club of Akure will battle Dolphins Basketball Club of Lagos as they attempt to continue their good run from the second phase.

The defending champions, First Bank Basketball Club of Lagos will play against Plateau Rocks Basketball Club of Jos, while Delta Force Basketball Club of Asaba will take on FCT Angels Basketball Club of  Abuja in the last match of Day One.
