The semi final matches of the ongoing Golden Chance Lotto Cup Championship will be played today and tomorrow at the Government Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The first semi final, which is scheduled for this evening, will be played between Golden Chance Lotto Football Club and Salamson FC.
Golden Chance Lotto defeated Abona FC 3-2 in the quarter final match played last Thursday. Salamson FC on the other hand staged a walked against Chembody FC and were awarded three points by the organisers.
The second semi final tie, which will be played tomorrow, will be between Leadstone FC and Spartans FC. Leadstone made it to the semi final after scaling the hurdles of Ikeja United in a quarterfinal game that ended 9-8 in a penalty shoot-out after they had played a goalless draw at regulation time last Wednesday.
Spartans humbled Dynamite FC 2-1 in the quarterfinal duel decided on Friday.
Coordinator of the tournament, sponsored by Golden Chance Lotto, Coach LuQman Tijani, said the organisers will ensure that security is guaranteed during the semi final matches, adding that fans should come out to watch the best of grassroots football artistry. The final will be played on Sunday, 13 June, 2010 at 3p.m.
