AC Chieftain Slumps, Dies

A national officer and one of the leaders of Action Congress, AC, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Alhaji Ola Bode Abdullahi is dead.

P.M.NEWS reliably gathered from family sources that the top politician slumped yesterday around 7 p.m. in the middle of a crucial meeting with party leaders at his Dakar Street, Apapa residence and was confirmed dead at the Lagoon Hospital, Apapa, where he was rushed to.

The late Abdullahi, an industrialist who the imported tyres and batteries, was said to have shown no sign of any ailment as he was full of life throughout the weekend, during which he attended the 16 coronation anniversary of the Ojora of Ojora, Oba Abdul Fatai Aromire.

Says our source: “Alhaji was in a crucial meeting with party members from his Lagos Central Constituency when he suddenly slumped and was quickly rushed to nearby Lagoon Hospital, Apapa, where he was confirmed dead.”

Alhaji Bode Abdullai who died at the age of 68 was the former Lagos State chairman of the National Republican Convention, NRC, in 1993, National Vice Chairman, All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, 2003 and  until his sudden death, national officer of the Action Congress and member G-14 of the Lagos AC.

The late AC Chieftain will be buried this evening at the Okesuna cemetery, Okesuna, Lagos, Nigeria after fidau prayer at the Lagos Central mosque, Nnamdi Azikwe Street, Lagos.

Reacting to the death of Abdullahi, the Chairman, Lagos AC, Otunba Oladele ajomale described the incident as a very shocking one, praying that God would grant his family to bear the irreparable loss.
