The 28 May, 2010 judgement by the Osun state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal upholding the election of Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola in the 14 April, 2010 election, has been described as daylight robbery.

Reacting to the judgement of the five-man panel led by Garba Ali of Yobe State who read the ruling, Prince Bisi Yusuf, a close associate of Engr. Rauf Aregbesola, said the whole scenario was a charade.

He alleged that the election petition tribunal sitting in Osogbo deliberately ignored the overwhelming evidences of the Action Congress (AC) governorship candidate, destroying the evidences as lacking merit.

According to Yusuf, “for instance, if robbers storm somebody’s house and cart away his property at gun point, prompting him to report to the police with the evidence that he was robbed, only for the police to tell him to produce what the robbers had carted away, is that possible? That is exactly what the tribunal did.”
