The football team of Mountain of Fire Ministry, MFM, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria weekend emerged champions of the 2010 Boska Cup Championship.

The team defeated Lub-bak Football Club of Ebute Metta, Lagos 6-5 on penalty shootout after playing a two all draw at regulation time. The match took place at the FIFA Legacy Astro-Turf Football pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Apart from winning a giant trophy, the MFM team also went home with the sum of N300,000, while the runners-up got the sum of N200,000.

The third placed team, MFM, Ikeja won the sum of N100,000.

Coach of MFM, Yaba, Fidelis Enechukwu was full of praises for his boys for displaying a high level of tactical discipline to hold tournament favourites, Lub-bak until the winners were decided through penalty shootout.


The elated coach told P.M. Sports that: “both teams played good football, but my team deserved the trophy because we were the best team during the penalty shootout.”
