Passers-by on Acme Road, Agidingbi, could not hold back tears this morning at the sight of the lifeless body of a commercial motorcycle rider on the road.

Elezu Sylvester, who until his death resided at 41B Alaba Street, Shasha, Akowonjo, was found dead as a result of an accident which occurred last night.

When P.M.NEWS visited the scene, the victim’s corpse was found with blood still dripping from his ears and nose, apparently as a result of the head injury he sustained from the accident.

Police sources said the late Sylvester was on top speed when he hit the median that was used to divide the road.

The father of two, whose wife is also pregnant with the third child,  was, according to his friend and colleague, drunk before the accident occurred.

The friend who refused to give his name, said he was at a local gin (paraga) joint with the victim last night and that the victim was advised against riding home on his motorcycle, a red-colour Boxer with plate number QS 863 EPE because he was heavily drunk.

He further said that the victim bluntly refused the advice and left them only for them to hear of his death this morning.
