Lub-Bak football club of Yaba will confront Ajalli United football club of Okota in the semi final of Boska Cup tomorrow at the FIFA Legacy Astro-turf pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

To reach the semi final stage, Lub-Bak FC defeated My People FC 5-3 via penalty shootout after two goals apiece at full time, while Ajalli United humbled Police Force Headquarters 5-4 on penalty shootout after one goal apiece at regulation time.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s encounter, Lub-Bak, team Manager, Lookmon Bakare boasted that his team have what it takes to win the cup. He disclosed that having defeated My People FC via penalties, no team can stop them from winning the title.

“In the last three editions of the Boska Cup, my team  crashed out in the quarter final. I am happy that I have broken the jinx at last, so, what I am targeting now is to win  subsequent matches,” he said.

In his own remark, Ajalli United boss, Princely Nnamdi Nwafor, is confident that his team will emerge  victorious. He said it will be a disappointment if his players fail to win.


The second semi final will be played between MFM Yaba and MFM Ikeja.
