A group, Babatunde Raji Fashola (BARAFAS) Fans Club, has vowed to hold a state-wide rally on 29 May to drum support for a second term bid for Governor Babatunde Fashola.
The group cited the need for continuity and infrastructural renewal as the reason why it had decided to support the governor for a second term.

President of BARAFAS Fans Club, Comrade Olusola Ogunsanya, disclosed the group would deploy major tools of public education and enlightenment to mobilise people to support Fasholaâ€™s bid for second term.
According to him, the group had printed thousands of posters whichÂ would be pastedÂ at strategic locations within the metropolis as part of the move to sensitize people to re-elect Fashola.
“In the last three years, we have watched with keen interest the development of Lagos . We are happy about this. We have also watched critically the recent development in the politics of the state and we are not happy about this. It shows that some groups of people are enemies of progress.
â€œWe are not politicians, but concerned residents of Lagos State. We persuade the politicians to keep this pace of development by allowing Fashola to continue. We have lists of projects in the area transportation, road, water, education and security sectors that we would use to stage our campaign,â€ he said.
