2 Passengers Slash Okada Rider’s Throat

A commercial motorcyclist [Okada rider] identified as Gbenga, has been allegedly murdered in cold blood by two unknown passengers he carried.

The passengers slashed his throat with a knife and left his body and Okada on the roadside.

Gbenga was murdered somewhere in Emakirun Street, Saabo in Ojodu-Abiodun, a suburb of Ogun State at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

A police source confirmed the incident to P.M. NEWS, saying investigation is on, and that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

However, the murderers, who escaped immediately they sliced the deceased throat, did not steal anything from their victim, and this has generated controversies over the reason behind the act.

While some believed that the murderers are ritual killers, other are of the opinion that perhaps, the victim has a relationship with his killers.

“One cannot really trust these boys. May be they are business partners or must have done a deal together. If not, why didn’t they [the killers] go with his bike and other belongings?” one of the sympathizers asked.

Some of the deceased colleagues, however, debunked the claim, saying that he was a gentle and easy going man.

No arrest has been made as at time of filing this report.
