A student of Ayodele Secondary School, Ketu, Lagos, identified as Endurance, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing a housewife, Mrs. Queen Eze, on her cheek and removing her teeth.

The incident occurred at their 6, Olorunosebi Street, off Oluwalogbon Street, Ketu.

The cause of the fight could not be ascertained, but Mrs. Eze told P.M.NEWS that fighting broke out when Endurane called her a load carrier while carrying her bag containing second-hand clothes. She sells the clothes at Oluwalogbon Street.

Narrating her ordeal to P.M.NEWS, Mrs. Eze said: “Since I started my business of second-hand clothes, Iya Kenneth and her husband have been envying me.

“When the last rain fell, I sent my daughter, Ada, to go and remove the clothes we have just washed from the rain and before Ada could move, Kenneth pushed her into the rain and fighting broke out between them. I separated them and cautioned them not to fight again.

“But when Kenneth’s parent came back, Kenneth told them that I beat him for Ada when they were fighting. The next thing Mama Kenneth did was to tell her children to abuse and insult me anytime they come across me.

“I was carrying my bags containing clothes when Endurance started calling me Eleru, meaning load carrier. Fighting broke out between us and before I knew it, Iya Kenneth rushed out from her room and pounced on me, while Endurance rained blows on my face and removed my teeth. She also went into their room, brought out a knife and stabbed me on my cheek.”

Iya Kenneth, P.M.NEWS gathered, was the first to report the matter to the police and the victim was arrested.

“The female IPO handling the matter slapped me twice, even with the blood gushing out from my teeth and cheek.

“They refused to give me hospital paper to go and treat myself until evening when my husband came to take me to the hospital at Ikeja.

“They also arrested my husband and detained him for four days for daring to ask Kenneth’s father why he did not settle the matter, instead of taking it to the police station.

“I am now calling on the state Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police to use their good offices to investigate this matter. I have lost my teeth. They have victimised me because Kenneth’s parents are well connected,” the victim pleaded.

When P.M.NEWS visited Ketu Police division, the DPO confirmed the incident.

Investigations revealed that matter has been transferred to the SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
