Anajemba advised the residents to only deal with the agency’s staff at its offices in the state.

She maintained that all monies payable to the agency must be paid to designated banks while bank-draft and receipt collected from the bank and ESWAMA offices, respectively.

“We have received series of reports of some conmen parading themselves as ESWAMA staff and going about fixing and collecting sanitation rate.

“ESWAMA is warning that residents should not patronize these conmen but do their business official at ESWAMA’s offices and ensure that all monies are paid to designated banks and receipt collected.

“Please follow the right channel so that you don’t end up paying twice,’’ she advised.

The managing director noted that the agency was doing all within its capacity to apprehend and prosecute these conmen to act as deterrent to others.

“We are trailing these impersonators in order to apprehend them and hand them over to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution.

“These will act as a deterrent to others who may want to toy with government revenue meant to be used to provide services for generality of the people,” she said.
