Rangers strengthen club ahead of CAF Champions

The Management of Rangers International FC of Enugu has constituted an eight-man committee to strengthen the club ahead of the 2016/2017 soccer season.

The victorious Rangers will be taking part in the 2016/2017 CAF Champions League.

Media Director of the club, Foster Chime, said on Thursday in Enugu that the committee was currently carrying out a review of the club’s performance in the just-concluded season.

“The committee will also tinker on players to be recruited, those to be retained as well as those to be placed on the transfer market.

“The committee will also consider the comprehensive programme by the club’s coach, Imama Amapakabo for the 2016/2017 CAF Champions League and the NPFL.

“The committee will also see to the signing of a one-year contract with the assistant coaches as soon as their current contracts expires on Oct. 31,’’ Chime said.

Members of the committee are Steve Oruruo as Chairman, Paul Chibuzor as Vice-Chairman and Joseph Onwukwe, who serve as Secretary.

Other members are Coach Amapakabo, Christian Chukwu, Patrick Nworji, Osmond Ugwu and Chime.
Rangers won the NPFL league after 32 years of title drought.
