The Taraba Government has retained as permanent workers, 83 ad-hoc staff of the State Broadcasting Service(TSBS) who have served for between five and 20 years.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Anthony Danburam, said in Jalingo on Wednesday that the retained workers included presenters, artists, reporters and engineers.

Danburam spoke while inspecting digitization equipment at the Taraba Television Station (TTV).

He said that the government would soon recruit additional 20 workers for the media house.

The commissioner said that the employment was part of the state government’s efforts to reposition media houses in the state to make them more result-oriented.

Danburam advised the staff members to render efficient services to justify their permanent appointments.
