Sixteen more major locations have been connected to the advanced 4G LTE network of national telecoms operator, Globacom. The new locations include the Lagos State University and Babcock University in Ogun State.

The others are Ikeja, Oregun, Opebi and Isolo in Lagos; Redemption Camp in Ogun State; Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, as well as Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme Junction, Woji, Eliozu, and Rumuigbo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Mpape and Utako in Abuja are the remaining new locations now covered by Glo 4G LTE service.

The 16 new towns join the eight cities that were connected to the network last week and the nine that were hooked up at the formal launch of the service two weeks ago.

This confirms Glo’s 4G LTE as the fastest growing 4G network in Nigeria and gives fillip to Globacom’s stated resolve to avail millions of Nigerians the benefits of the highly advanced technology.

With the connection of the 16 new towns to the network, Glo subscribers in the areas can now enjoy instant and efficient mobile broadband internet services at speeds which are several times faster than the 3G network. They will also be able to download ultra high definition videos in seconds.

Globacom had last week announced the rollout of 4G LTE services in Bonny, Escravos, Forcados, Abraka (Delta State University), Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli University), Okada (Igbinedion University), Agbor (College of Education), and Sapele (Western Delta University).
