A 31-year-old man, Eyebiokin Adeniyi, on Friday asked an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court to dissolve his nine-year-old marriage to his wife, Adeola.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Eyebiokin is seeking dissolution of the union on grounds of lack of respect for his mother and no more love for his wife.

Eyebiokin, who resides at Ureje Area, Federal Polytechnic road, Ado-Ekiti, alleged that his wife does not respect his mother, saying that they quarrel all the time.

He recalled that there was a day his wife offended his mother and he had to send her packing out of the house.

The plaintiff, who is also a father of one, said that he was no longer interested in the marriage and prayed the court to dissolve it.

He appealed to the court to award him the custody of their only child, Ayomide, aged eight years.
