The suspect and three others, including her two sons and a nanny, are being detained at Okhoro Division Police Station over the matter.
It was gathered that the suspects took the action in a bid to take over Dr Ojehomon’s inheritance by changing contents of his Will and selling his properties.
Dr Ojehomon is battling with life at the hospital as the acid affected his face and body.
Counsel to the Ojehomon family, Jefferson Uwoghiren, confirmed the attack to journalists in Benin but referred further comments to the police.
He said policemen from the Okhoro Police Division have arrested the suspects.
Tina was said to have had children for the victim but they were not legally married.
When contacted for comments, Edo State Commissioner of Police, Haliru Abubakar Gwandu, who declined to comment, said it was an insult for journalists to call him on the phone to confirm news report.
