The Senate has voted overwhelmingly to reject moves by the federal government to sell some national assets to reflate the economy which is in recession.

Senator Ali Ndume who moved the motion for the upper legislative house to reject the move received the support of majority of senators who kicked against the sale of some national assets to move the country out of recession.
