A 29-year-old man, Kweku Bosi, who allegedly bolted with a motorcycle valued at N150,000 acquired under a hire-purchase agreement, has appeared before a Surulere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

Kweku, whose address is unknown, is charged with stealing.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Christopher Okoliko told the court that the accused committed the offence at Orile-Iganmu, Lagos, on April 13.

Okolikos said the accused stole a Bajaj motorcycle, property of the complainant, Calistus Mmayie.

“The complainant gave the accused the motorcycle on hire purchase for N170,000 and he agreed to a daily remittance of N2,000 to the seller.

“He paid for just two days and disappeared with the motorcycle.

“He did not show up to tell the complainant what happened to the motorcycle and why he stopped paying the daily remittance.
