Ex-Enyimba keeper, Idah Peterside, on Friday, urged the new Super Eagles coach, Salisu Yusuf, to stamp his authority in order to gain the respect of his players.

Peterside, also the former keeper of Israeli club, Macabi Hazelia, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Johannesburg, South Africa, that Yusuf would be dealing with international players exposed to top class coaches.

“He has to gain respect; coaching the national team is not all about just being a coach. Our international players have been exposed to top class coaches.

“You need to prove that you know what you are doing. They are playing for the best teams in the world and you need to prove to them that you know what you are doing and you need to be in charge,” he said.
