The adjudicatory chamber of FIFA’s ethics committee on Friday said it has opened proceedings against former Thailand football supremo and former FIFA executive committee member Worawi Makudi who faces a lengthy ban.

A statement said that no further details would be published and that Makudi has the right to request a hearing.

Meanwhile, the ethics committee’s investigatory chamber recommended a four-year ban for Makudi.

It also recommended a fine of 25,000 Swiss francs (25,300 dollars) for violation of the general rules of conduct, loyalty, forgery and falsification, and the obligation of the parties to collaborate.

Makudi is reportedly alleged to have altered Thailand FA statutes without approval.

He had initially received a 90-day suspension in October 2015 for a breach of FIFA’s code of ethics.

The suspension, however, was then extended by three months in February after he was found to have violated the terms of the initial ban.
