The former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmmumin Jibrin has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, stressing that while he wines with the President, he dines with the enemies of the President.
Jibrin who made several allegations against Dogara after he resigned on Wednesday as Chairman, Appropriation committee of the House called for the resignation of Dogara and that of three principal officers including Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun, Whip Alhassan Doguwa and minority Leader Leo Ogor.
In an exposé on Twitter, Jibrin moved to clear his name of allegations made against him by Dogara while revealing fraudulent moves by the Speaker and the three principal officers to amass public funds running into billions of naira for themselves.
Speaking on Dogara’s statement following his resignation, he said: “Speaker Dogara’s statement was a complete misrepresentation of the facts, false, mischievous, unfair and a calculated attempt to bring my name to disrepute, blackmail, silence and use me as a scape goat,” he wrote on his official Twitter account.
He then claimed that: “My inability to admit into the budget almost N30 billion personal requests from Mr. Speaker and the three other principal officers also became an issue. I have every documented evidence to this effect,” he stated.
He then cautioned President Buhari, urging him to be careful around Dogara. “Mr President must be very careful with him. He wines with Mr. President and dines with Mr. President’s enemies,” he wrote.
