President Muhammadu Buhari has empathised with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s decision to resign in October.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.

President Buhari said Nigeria had enjoyed remarkable goodwill, support and understanding under the capable leadership of the outgoing Prime Minister over the years.

Cameron announced his decision to resign in response to the outcome of a referendum that supported Britain to leave the European Union.
