Mr Gbenga Olapade, Lagos Zonal Coordinator of the National Examinations Council (NECO), organisers of the examination, made the disclosure in an interview on Friday in Lagos.
The second segment of the NCEE is for final selection of candidates for admission into the 104 Unity Colleges in the country.
According to Olapade, 12,000 qualified candidates have so far registered for the second test in Lagos State.
He said that a total of 59 centres across the state had so far been accredited for the examination, scheduled for June 18.
“With this development and because of the importance of this final segment of the examination, the council in its magnanimity has directed that all qualified candidates still have the opportunity to register and write the examination same day.
“Such candidates are to come to any nearest centre with a photo card of their first examination and a printout of the first test result to authenticate their qualification for the second interview test.
“They are also to come along with two passport photographs as scratch cards will be made available for their registration for the test,’’ he said.
Olopade said that accreditation of candidates for the examination would commence at all centres from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
According to him, the examination, which will be conducted in two segments will commence by 10 a.m. with quantitative aptitude test.
He said that the second part of the examination would kick off by 11.45 a.m. and that candidates would be tested on verbal aptitude and social studies.
Olapade said that the examination was expected to come to an end by 12.30 p.m.
He assured that logistics for the successful conduct of the examination were fully on ground and that all supervisors and examiners had been fully briefed.
