Abiodun Onafuye/Abeokuta: Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has described the late matriarch of the Simeon Adebo family, Mrs Regina Abimbola Adebo as an exemplary woman who lived a positively impactful life.

Mama Adebo, as she was fondly called, passed away on Sunday, May 22, just ten days to her 95th birthday. She was the wife of the first indigenous Federal Head of Service, Late Simeon Adebo.

In a statement signed by the media aide to the governor, Adejuwon Soyinka, Governor Amosun commiserated with the Simeon Adebo family over the death of their matriarch.

Describing the late Mrs Adebo as “an exemplary woman who lived a positively impactful life,” Amosun urged the younger generation to emulate her tenacity and sense of purpose.

The governor described the wife of the former Under Secretary-General and Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, UN, Chief Simeon Adebo, as a committed ally of her late husband who died 22 years ago.

He prayed for the repose of her soul.
