The Independent National Electoral Commission has denied claims by the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike that fake result sheets are deployed for election in Akuku-Toru and Bonny local government areas.

INEC then went on to explain what an original result sheet looks like. “Result sheets with ‘BAR CODES’ and serial number are valid,” INEC said.

“The allegations are untrue and they should be discountenanced. Voters are advised to come out and exercise their franchise peacefully.”

“However, result sheets with ‘BAR CODES’ and serial number are valid,” INEC said.

Wike had alleged that INEC was deploying fake result sheets in a bid to favour the All Progressives Congress.
