The 36-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed and killed a woman with a kitchen knife in Benin, Evelyn Obamoyi, has been remanded in prison custody by an Egor chief magistrates’ court.

The suspect was said to have committed the offence at Iyamu street, off Textile Mill Road, Benin, on 20 January, 2016, following a disagreement between herself and the deceased, Juliet Ediale, over N1,000 which she owed the deceased.

Consequent upon that, Iyoha ordered that the case file be duplicated and forwarded to the office of the State Director for Public Prosecution for legal advice.
