LASU student dies after consuming mixed liquor

A student of Lagos State University (LASU) Gbadeyan Awolola Adesina has died in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, after drinking a mixture of Magic Moment, Vodka, Elliot, Orijin and Smirnoff Ice.

According to the Lagos State Police PRO, Dolapo Badmos, Gbadeyan Awolola Adesina and Arofeso Oladipupo attended an award ceremony organized by the History Department of the institution held at Treasure Palace Hotel in Igando, Lagos.

Both Gbadeyan and Oladipupo drank the mixture and minutes later they started to vomit and became unconscious.

They were rushed to Igando General Hospital where Gbadeyan died while the doctors were battling to save the life of Oladipupo.

The corpse of Gbadeyan, according to Badmos was taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital mortuary by other students before the case was reported to the police at Igando division where investigation is ongoing.

The police spokesperson advised the youths against drinking of unwholesome drinks because it can endanger their lives.
