The Bauchi Police Command said on Sunday that it arrested four suspected kidnappers who abducted two teenagers in Bauchi metropolis.

A statement by the command’s spokesman, DSP Haruna Mohammed, named the suspects as; Abubakar Mohammed, 27, from Jos, Plateau; Sanusi Inuwa, 40, Wuntin Gobirawa village, Bauchi and Danlami Abdullahi, 45, also of Wuntin Gobirawa.

Mohammed said that the suspects were arrested on Sunday by Police detectives attached to Bauchi state Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), led by Inspt. Thomas Kwabika, following intelligence report.

He said that the suspects conspired and kidnapped two children, Yunusa Hussaini, 8, and Dare Yakubu, 7, all of Dungal village, Bauchi.

Mohammed said that the suspects demanded the sum of N500,000 from the parents of the victims.

He said that the police rescued the victims and handed them over to their parents in good condition.

Mohammed said that one Dane gun and N66,000 were recovered from the suspects who would be charged to court after investigations.
