A new Commander has been appointed for the Benin Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). He is Mr. Ebenezer Ifechukwude Odita.

‎He replaces the outgone Mrs. Cordelia Oluchi Eberinga, who was in charge of the Command for almost three years.

According to a press statement issued by Barr. Nduka Nwanwene, the Command’s He‎ad, Public Enlightenment Unit, the new Commander took over on the 10th of February, after a brief handing over ceremony held in the conference room of the Command’s office, located alond Adesuwa Road, GRA, Benin City.

Odita, who promised to build on the achievements of his predecessor without compromising the value of dedication to duty, called for greater productivity, sense of responsibility, good initiative and team work from officers and men of the zone.

He warned that he will not tolerate indolence and indiscipline ‎in the work place, noting that the only way the command can maintain its pre-eminent position among the commands is for all its men to exhibit good work ethics, with strong determination to excel.

The new zonal commander also directed that officers and men of the command will henceforth commence jogging exercises to keep them fit for the job.
