Sunday “Capo” Olalekan, the dreadlocked, hard-punching Light Welterweight boxer, has declared that he will win the National Light Welterweight boxing title at the GOtv Boxing Night on 26 December. He also sees himself winning the N1.5million cash prize for the best boxer of the tournament.

Capo will be fighting Stanley “Edo Boy” Eribo at the tournament billed to hold at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos.

The prize was introduced during the first edition of GOtv Boxing Night in March 2014 and became more attractive when a cash of NI million and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy were introduced as accompaniments. GOtv, headline sponsors of the tournament, have added an extra half a million naira for the forthcoming edition. Speaking in Lagos during the week, Capo, who is currently in a training camp, said:

“I heard that Eribo has been boasting. No problem. He will eat his words at the GOtv Boxing Night. I have beaten better boxers. I do not see how Eribo can stand between me and the title,” he said.
