Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, on Monday approved the appointment of Mr Adeniyi Owolabi as a Permanent Secretary in the state civil service.

The appointment is contained in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by the State Head of Service, Dr Gbenga Faseluka.

The new permanent secretary was the state former focal person in the office of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

According to the statement, Owolabi hails from Ise-Ekiti in Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the State.

The new permanent secretary joined the Civil Service of the old Ondo State in 1989 as Principal Budget Assistant II.

He later transferred his service to Ekiti State when it was created in 1996. Faseluka added that Owolabi holds Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti and also rated at the best civil servant of the year 2011.
