Secretary of Akinwunmi Ambode Campaign Organisation (AMCO), Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Mr. Adegboyega Davies has called on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to remember those who worked tirelessly for his victory at the polls.

Davies, who is a traffic consultant and a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress in Ojokoro LCDA told P.M.NEWS that members of AMCO in all the local governments in the state were suffering because of neglect by those appointed to take care of them.

“We worked tirelessly for Ambode during the last governorship election and we expect that he will take care of us as the arrowhead of his campaign. Some of us borrowed money to campaign for the governor; we went to all the nooks and crannies of the state, convincing voters on the need to vote for Ambode. We expect that we will be compensated one way or the other but up till now, nothing has been done for us.

“Immediately five of our leaders were appointed into positions in the state, they abandoned the majority of members to their fate, even our meetings where we discuss the way forward, have stopped.

“I am using this medium to appeal to our amiable governor to do something for his teeming supporters. We appreciate all that he is doing in the state and we have been his pillar of support in traffic and crime control; road construction and employment generation,” Davies said.

The APC chieftain also lauded the governor for continuing the projects started by the Babatunde Fashola administration, stressing that by doing so the current administration has been able to sustain the mega city status of the state.

Davies also commended the Ambode administration for beaming its searchlight on inner roads in the state.

“So far, Ambode is living up to expectations. He has been repairing all the bad inner roads in the state and installing traffic lights. This is good and we are very impressed,” he stated.
