Godspower Ikpide, the Africa Pro-Wrestling heavyweight title holder received royal blessings from the Odiologbo of Owhe Kingdom, Romanus Ejirememe-Inana ahead of his bout against Angola Marvelous Buffalo.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bout between Buffalo and Ikpide would hold on March 6, 2016 at the Asaba Township Stadium, Delta State.

According to a statement signed by Olusesan Olukoya Secretary of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), on Saturday the monarch commended Ikpide popularly known as Power Lee for paying homage to the kingdom.

It said that the community and Delta State as a whole are proud of the wrestler, for his achievement in the sporting world.

“I’m full of appreciation to Power Lee for his exploits in seeing to it that the name of the community is now known through sports locally, nationally and internationally.

“He will go from power to power, grace to grace, and from strength to strength.

“I’m also promising Power Lee that I will be at the ring side with all my chiefs to support him in his upcoming title defence,” it said.

It added that Power Lee thanked the monarch for his royal blessings ahead of the bout, and boasted that he was ready to crush his opponent.

“I’m grateful for this privilege and I know his royal highness blessings on me will be fulfilled.

“Power Lee is battle ready to destroy any opponent that comes my way as the African champion.’’

According to the statement, the wrestler who is also the national heavy weight champion, solicited for more support ahead of the fight.
