A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged Nigerians to pray for the newly sworn-in ministers, noting that, the task ahead of them is not an easy one.

Fani-Kayode who charged the new ministers to regard their appointments as opportunity to serve the country urged Nigerians to support them. “We must support and pray for them as best as we can, let us hope that they step up to the heat and do a good job,” he said.

Fani-Kayode, who was the Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization in the last presidential election, however, called on the ministers to focus on the job ahead.

“Now that presidential campaigns are over, I congratulate them and wish them well, they are Federal Ministers meant to be working for Nigerians now not just for the ACP leaders,” he said.

This, he said, was critical to enable them succeed in office, adding that the task of being a minister, was not an easy one.

“I was a minister almost ten years ago and I know what it is like. It is not easy, so they need our prayers and we will continue praying for them.

Fani-Kayode said that it was, however, the job of Nigerians to keep the new ministers on their toes to ensure that they did not fail in their responsibilities.

He said Nigerians should not hesitate to call out, call to order and point out where they may have gone wrong at any point in time.
