14 ships laden with petrol arrive Lagos ports

Thirteen ships laden with petrol and one others carrying containers have arrived at Lagos ports, waiting to berth at the various terminals.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication – `Shipping Position’ – made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.

It explained that 28 other ships were expected to arrive at the ports between Oct. 28 and Nov. 30.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the contents of the expected ships, include general cargo, bulk sugar and frozen fish.

Others are bulk wheat, bulk salt, bulk fertiliser, base oil and steel product.

NAN also reports that 22 other ships are currently discharging bulk wheat, bulk rice, soda ash, containers and general cargo.

Rice, fertiliser, frozen fish, steel product, petrol, bulk gas and buthane are also being discharged.
